ABOUT UKCTC
The UK Research and Development Centre for Chinese Traditional Culture (UKCTC) founded on 12th February 2011, is a London-based Chinese traditional culture research organisation.
Our purpose is to promote and deepen British understanding of Chinese culture, to offer where appropriate, a nuanced antidote to popular misconceptions of Chinese culture, and to introduce Britain to the essence of Chinese cultural traditions, in order to advance cultural exchange between China and the West.
We hold symposiums on traditional Chinese culture, invite respected scholars within a variety of fields to give lectures and master classes, and provide academics, experts, teachers and popularizers of Chinese culture from across China’s many regions, besides educators and academics from Britain and beyond, with both a platform and a bridge for dialogue and exchange.
We welcome people from all backgrounds to join in our events, so that we can become a stage for a diverse yet harmonious exchange of cultures.
